Become your own best Coach.

at The CoachClark Studio

Elite acting training for serious actors who want truthful, repeatable, measurable work for theatre, film, television, auditions, and career growth.

Stop Chasing Feelings.

Most actors are taught to judge their work by how they feel.

If they feel emotional, they assume the scene worked.

If they don't, they assume it didn't.

The problem is that feelings are unreliable.

They come and go. They can't be controlled.

And they don't tell you why a performance succeeded or failed.

As a result, many actors spend years guessing.

They receive feedback but don't know how to apply it.

They know something isn't working but can't identify the problem.

They have moments of great work but no process for recreating them.

The Clark Method was built to change that.

Developed through over twenty years as an actor, director, choreographer, and teacher, The Clark Method treats acting as a trainable craft rather than a mysterious talent.

It provides actors with a practical framework for understanding what makes a performance work, objective tools for evaluating their choices, and specific adjustments they can make when something isn't landing.

Instead of hoping, guessing, or waiting for someone else to tell you what happened, you'll learn how to diagnose your own work and improve it.

You'll understand the mechanics behind connection, imagination, transformation, and truthful performance so they can be recreated consistently rather than stumbled upon accidentally.

Most importantly, you'll learn that great acting is not about becoming someone else.

It's about uncovering the version of yourself that already exists within the circumstances of the play.

You are the instrument.

The work is learning how to tune it.

Caleb Clark is a professional actor, director, choreographer, playwright, and educator with more than 20 years of experience in the theatre industry.

He holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Columbus State University and an MFA in Acting from the University of Florida. As a performer, he has worked with organizations including the American Shakespeare Center, Alliance Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Actor's Express, Houston Shakespeare Festival, and more.

A member of Actors' Equity Association, Caleb has received multiple industry honors, including Suzi Award and Wilde Award recognition for his work onstage.

More importantly, he has spent two decades studying what makes acting work—and developing a practical framework that helps actors understand, diagnose, and improve their craft with confidence.

His goal isn't to create actors who depend on him.

It's to create actors who can eventually coach themselves.

here you'll study...

1. Instrument

How do I learn to know myself? = Vulnerability.

The actor's primary tool is not their voice, body, or imagination. It is themselves.

The study of Instrument develops the actor's ability to connect truthfully to the world of the play, their scene partners, and their own emotional life. Through increased awareness, presence, and vulnerability, actors learn to become available to genuine experience rather than attempting to manufacture it.

Truthful acting begins with the willingness to be affected.

2. Story

How do I understand the play? = Craft.

Before an actor can perform a play, they must understand it.

The study of Story develops the actor's ability to analyze text, identify objectives and actions, understand structure, and uncover the engine driving the drama. Actors learn to move beyond intuition and build performances on a foundation of clear, repeatable choices.

Craft transforms instinct into understanding.

3. Transformation

How do I become someone else? = Imagination.

Acting is not simply self-expression. It is the art of becoming.

The study of Transformation develops the actor's ability to create lives beyond their own through physical, vocal, psychological, and imaginative choices. Actors learn how to expand beyond habit, embody new circumstances, and create characters that are both specific and truthful.

Imagination is the bridge between the actor and the role.

4. Process

How do I sustain myself? = Truth.

An acting career is built on uncertainty. Rejection, inconsistency, and periods of both abundance and scarcity are inevitable parts of the profession.

The study of Process teaches actors how to navigate these realities with resilience, perspective, and self-awareness. Actors learn to separate their worth from their work, evaluate themselves honestly without self-judgment, and build habits that support both artistic growth and personal well-being.

Truth means accepting reality as it is—not as we wish it to be. It allows actors to pursue excellence without burnout, endure rejection without losing themselves, and build careers that are not only successful, but sustainable.

5. Profession

How do I build a career? = Ownership.

Actors are artists, but they are also entrepreneurs.

The study of Profession prepares actors to navigate the realities of a sustainable career. Auditions, networking, branding, finances, professionalism, and opportunity creation are treated not as separate skills, but as essential responsibilities of the working actor.

Actors who embrace ownership stop waiting for permission and begin building the careers they want.

Your career is your responsibility.

What great actors develop...

I'm obsessed with this work.

I've been a coach since I was a kid, but not an actor.

I wasn't naturally gifted, I didn't come from a theatrical or artistic background, I had no connections, and very little money.

What I did have was stubbornness, determination, and delusion.

A stubbornness to not quit. To understand. To get better. To keep moving forward. To see opportunity in the mishaps. To see feedback in the criticism. To see growth in the failure.

A determination to not let the world dictate what my path could look like, but to do whatever I had to to create the kind of day-to-day life that I truly wanted, and that would make me content.

A delusion that I could do it. That I could be exactly where I wanted to be, even though I had no evidence or proof that it was possible, feasible, or even likely.

NOW, all I do is act, teach, choreograph, and write.

I make all my money from art, I own a business, I am a concisely working equity actor in Atlanta, and I am a very well reviewed, award-winning performer.

A lot of talk about "what separates you," "what you need," "how you make it," clouds the airways, especially on social media. But those who do this know that there is only one thing that you need to make it work, and that will make a difference.

A refusal to quit.

If you can develop that, everything else can be developed as well.

Because eventually, every actor should become their own best coach.
